Alex Cortez was born and raised in Lake Stevens, Washington, 40 miles north of Seattle. He attended California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA, where he earned a dual major bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management alongside a minor in Law. Alex spent his free time in college playing on the NCAA Men’s Soccer Team and working for multiple nonprofit organizations in the summers. After graduating from Cal Lutheran, Alex moved to Houston, Texas to pursue a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, from which he graduated Cum Laude in May of 2022. Alex has been with the Johnson Law Group since the summer of 2021 and has worked on both medical device litigations as well as products liability litigations, including Roundup, Paraquat and Hernia Mesh products.
